Exciting news! Two new community buildings are being built in Ebbsfleet Green, and we need your help in naming them.
After receiving over 70 suggestions from the local community, we have created a shortlist of 4 names for each building – and we need you to choose your favourite one for each building.
Use the QR code at the end of this post, or press this button to cast your vote for the new names of the Sports and Leisure Hub, and Neighbourhood House.
The Sports and Leisure Hub will be run by a specialist leisure operator – Freedom Leisure – and will have a gym, exercise studio, changing facilities, community hall (with a capacity of about 200 people), kitchen, café, play space and parking, as well as a pavilion to serve the FA football standard 3G sports pitch and tennis courts. This building will be a hub for community activities, providing spaces that can be hired out by local residents.
Neighbourhood House will provide a hall – capacity of about 100 people – commercial kitchen, parcel delivery/return lockers, a community tool shed (imagine a library for borrowing tools instead of books!), and rooms for hire. It is designed for a wide range of community-based activities to be initiated and led by residents and local community groups.
