Springhead Park Community Garden and allotments
Community Gardens
With widespread views over Springhead bridge and parts of the Ebbsfleet Garden City, Springhead Park Community Garden and Allotments provides a delightful oasis of calm for all things gardening. The community garden, orchard wildflower meadow and allotment plots means there is something for all members of the community.
The community garden has 16 raised planter beds, ensuring accessibility for all ages and abilities. It is surrounded by native hedging and fencing, providing a safe green space to be used by the community. The garden also contains a wildflower meadow and 30 fruiting trees, providing a variety of produce. Pathways and seating make this area a beautiful and relaxing place to visit. It has entrances from both Springhead Parkway and the Springhead Linear Park.
The Community Gardening Group is run by volunteers and provides residents within the Garden City the opportunity to come together, plant, harvest, socialise and put back into the community. Gardening can improve your health and mental wellbeing, as well as reduce stress levels.
